Classes resumed for the first time since last month's shooting in
Newtown, where a man killed 20 first-graders and six teachers. I have never had that bad of an experience but I can remember the day I returned to school after the 911 attacks. It was a weird day because none of my friends and I fully understood what was going on since we were so young. And I believe that is how the students attending Sandy Hook felt. A parent of a child from Sandy Hook Elementary said "Will we go to our regular schedule?"I can relate to it because the day we returned to school my father had to talk to the principal to make sure everything was on track. And to see if I was attending a full day of school since he had to check me out the day of the attacks. A teacher said, "in front of the students I will act like everything is fine." The day I returned to school the teachers were quiet but, none of them acted like anything was wrong. Also if we asked any questions about the attacks the teachers would tell us to ask our parents. I feel like Shady Hook Elementary school will recover eventually because when I was partially in their shoes my school recovered. They may not recover as fast but they will recover.
