Current Connection 2.1

In an article entitled "Adrian Peterson's young son dies after alleged assault" posted on CNN news by Greg Botelho and Jason Hanna. Botelho and Hanna, write that a two year old boy who was reportedly the son of minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson died Friday of injuries he suffered after allegedly being abused.

Police report, Joseph Robert Patterson, 27 years old, had been charged with aggravated battery of an infant and aggravated assault. If convicted, Joseph could spend 40 years in prison; eventhough Joseph may have not meant to kill the child. I still believe he should spend life in prison. 40 years is not a suitible prison time for the crime he had committed.

According to police, the south Dakota law enforcement, prosecutors, law enforcing bodys of power, are considering filing additional charges against Patterson in light of the boys death. Filing additional charges would be the right thing to do for Adrian's justice. When you take away  a mans child it is like taking away part of himself. No matter what they do to Patterson, Peterson will never have his son back, so they need to give Patterson the worst punishment possible.

How is Adrian, handling his sons death? As soon as the news came out of the boys death, Adrian Peterson took to twitter to express his gratitude to his family, fans and the "fraternity of brothers" in NFL for their support. To be the nationl icon and idol that Adrian is, he still had to reach out to the public for comfort, like most people Adrian didnt take to his 2 year old son's death very well.

You cant help but wonder what he is going through right now. Everyone loses loved ones and it leaves a hole in our heart. Adrian probably loved his son more than anything in the would and it was taken from him. Joseph Patterson needs to be in prison for life and we should pray for Adrian and his family.

Current Connection 1.2

In a recent article, "School Hours Should Be Shortened", written by student, Maheeta, she states teachers give kids way to much work to do, it will give students time to do other activities and teachers would also have a relaxed break. School should be shortened by at least two hours a day.

In the second paragraph of the article Maheeta states,  "at school, teachers absolutely ear bash students with endless bundles of work." Almost every 14 through 18 year old, high school student, can agree with this statement because they can relate to the endless amounts of home work assigned every night that they just cant quite understand; teachers try to cram everything into their heads at once.

In the third paragraph of the article Maheeta claims, that if school hours were shortened then the students grades would boost. With the long hours school days that we have right now people are dreary before test and cant perform as well. Also many students blare out what teachers have to say because they are so exhausted from the long day.

From the 2013 school board committee reports of Arkansas; the committee agree that teachers are not getting as much from the students as they had expected. If the school hours were shortened teachers could get more activity from the students because they are less fatigue. More importantly students will care more.

I know for a fact that school hours should be shortened because I am a high school student that suffers from fatigue and exhaustion. High school needs a change.

If you look into this hard enough I feel like you will believe me even more. Also I know that you can relate to this because you were once in high school or you are now.

Current Connection 1.1

http://www.globalpartnership.org/who-we-are/the-value-of-education/ has an article called "The Value Of Education" showing that the most effective way to reduce poverty in a country is by using the process of learning, called education.
Countries with low education tend to suffer the most from, a lack of material or wealth, called poverty. "In short, education has the power to make this big planet, known as the world, a better place." Creating more schools with advanced licensed teachers could revolutionize the world. It could help the poor countries gain wealth and knowledge at the same time.
"Education is more than reading, writing, and arithmetic." It is the most important investment a country can make in its people and in its future. Because it does not only reduce poverty it also reduces inequality.
Communist countries, countries led by one leader, prefer equality so education is key in their life. Education gives everyone a fighting chance to succeed in a career and allows equal opportunity for less privileged people to get a good jab and make something out of themselves.
Many of us don’t realize how important education is to a individual since our country has a great education system, but while it seems like it’s nothing maybe it’s the reason that our country, the united states of America, is on top.
Education decides the wealth of any country no matter who runs it.

The Boston Bombings

Usually when you hear of a terrorist attack you think of a Middle Eastern race but, in the Boston bombings case two  young Russian radical brothers set two bombs off during the Boston marathon. They had expected a higher death rate but only a couple died and a few others injured in the terrorist act.  They had finally caught the two brothers but the older one was killed in combat and the younger one was captured and taken for questioning.                                                                                                                                                      I can relate the Boston bombings to the 9/11 attack that took place on September 11, 2001. Because they were both acts of terror by radical religions. "How can they hate something that they don't understand?"  Timothy Hinckley asked  that question after he found out his daughter died in the Boston bombings.  After the 9/11 attacks many family members were wondering how such a thing could happen. Many people wondered how the airport security could be  manipulated so easily since there are so many checkpoints required before getting on a plane. So one thing both terrorist attack had in common were that they both left questions behindfor the family members of the deceased. Mark Cambridge said "what's the point in them attacking us if we haven't done anything to them?" That same statement stands for the 9/11 attacks we hadn't  done anything to them but they felt the need to attack us.                                                                                                                                                 "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." That's the golden rule that everybody claims to follow. But if everybody followed that rule then there wouldn't be any terrorist attacks. So obviously the terrorist attacks are not acts out of the religion they're  acts out of anger towards our government and country. "They do not realize that we are people just like them."  That was a statement made by John Hampton after the Boston bombings. John was one of  the workers at the marathon during the Boston bombings. After hearing that I realized that he was wrong. They know we are people just like them but they are selfish and believe that we are corrupt people.           Maybe one day America will realize that we are hated by many people and we need to step up our security. The Boston bombings and 9/11 are just proof that our security is slacking.

Here comes the boom

Last Thursday North Korea was cleared by China to wage an attack on the USA using "smaller, lighter and diversified nuclear missiles." It may sound very threatening but I can assure that it is not threatening at all. North Korea's missile system is very under developed. "Even if they decided to attack, their missiles would not be capable of reaching the USA." That was a quote from professor Jennings at Wyoming Tech. I agree with professor Jennings because I have looked deeply into this subject and discovered that North Korea has cut themselves off from the rest of the world. And that means that there is no way they can have the equipment to complete this act of war. "We are moving our missile deffences to Gaum so no missiles will reach the USA."that was a quote from the US Pentagon. So that also assures our safety.                                                                                                            "Let me clarify, North Korea is dangerous but not deadly." Senator Simpson made that statement early Friday morning. At first I did not understand what the senator meant by that statement but now I do. It means that they are capable of shooting missiles but there is no chance that the missiles will hit USA grounds. "North Korea refuses to allow South Korean workers to work in joint factorys." CNN news had that as a header for the daily news. That just shows that North Korea is up to something but  it still is impossible for one of their missiles to harm us. So I believe that everyone should let North Korea throw their temper tandrem and let their childish behaviors reflect on other countrys.                http://m.nydailynews.com/1.1307068#bmb

Permanent Solution For A Temporary Problem

Friday night a young man and fellow student from Batesville High School took his own life. He was a former football player and a good man that made a few bad decisions that caused family and friends to be heart broken. Dave King stated " boys, suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem." After hearing that statement it made me think and I realized that it was true. Sometimes life will beat you down but you have to get back up and keep going strong. I can not imagine what his family is going through right now but I have lost  family members and it is a horrible feeling. "Nobody should feel like they have to solve their problems alone." Zach Harbor made that statement about the young man and it put a lot of thing in perspective for me. Suicide happens to people who try to solve problems alone and don't seek help. If only he had  someone else's help he might have change his mind about the action he made.                                                                                                          "Suicide dose not end your problems it ends your life." That was a quote from the newspaper that is very true. At the time you may think its the only solution but its not. You can always find better solutions because nothing is more important then your life. I still can't rap my mind around everything that was going on inside his head but everyone that knew him and cared about him can tell you that their life's were better with him in them. Another statement from Dave King was "time heals all wounds." I personally know that statement is true because all of my wounds have healed as time has moved on. Cody Campbell was a good young man and everyone who knew him knows that suicide was not the right solution for his problems.                                                                               http://guardonline.com/category/obituaries

Girlfriend hoax

In fall of 2012,  Manti Te'o told many medias that both his grandmother and his girlfriend had died on September 11, 2012. Te'o said that his girlfriend,  Lennay Kekua, had died after suffering a car accident and battling cancer.  Many sports medias reported on these tragedies during Te'o's strong season. Manti's mother reported " My son is not like that, he is a good man." Honestly in my opinion he is an Innocent man. The reason I believe he is Innocent is because he had no reason to lie. They claim he did it so he could be the first round draft pick for the NFL.
Head coach Brian Kelly reported "Manti is a good kid and there is no doubt in my mind that he is Innocent". Most people don't think he is Innocent but a lot of people do. It seems that the people that personally know him have no doubts in their minds that he is Innocent. And that is completely understandable because I know from personal experience that when several people start rumors about you its hard to make people believe you but, close friends and family will always understand you.
So the moral to it all is that sometimes you cant believe what the media has to say because it is lies 50 percent of the time in my opinion.

Sandy Hook Elementry Resuming School

Classes resumed for the first time since last month's shooting in Newtown, where a man killed 20 first-graders and six teachers. I have never had that bad of an experience but I can remember the day I returned to school after the 911 attacks. It was a weird day because none of my friends and I fully understood what was going on since we were so young. And I believe that is how the students attending Sandy Hook felt. A parent of a child  from Sandy Hook Elementary said  "Will we go to our regular schedule?"I can relate to it because the day we returned to school my father had to talk to the principal to make sure everything was on track. And to see if I was attending a full day of school since he had to check me out the day of the attacks. A teacher said, "in front of the students I will act like everything is fine." The day I returned to school the teachers were quiet but, none of them acted like anything was wrong. Also if we asked any questions about the attacks the teachers would tell us to ask our parents. I feel like Shady Hook Elementary school will recover eventually because when I was partially in their shoes my school recovered. They may not recover as fast but they will recover.
